Brodie's first surprise birthday party

Brodie's God-Father's (Scott) birthday is the 27th, so Tuyen planned a surprise birthday party for him on Saturday, the 23rd. The three of us showed up and everyone loved seeing Brodie and were just commenting on how big he's gotten!

When we were hiding, he did really good in the dark! He didn't fuss or cry, he just hung out with the rest of us. We also had party hats and party noise makers-Brodie didn't really like the hat, he kept trying to take it off, and the loved chewing on the noise makers. haha

We had brought our second pack-n-play over to their house that way Brodie could play in there instead of crawling everywhere where it's not so much baby proofed like our home. He LOVED hanging out in that pack-n-play. The boys started playing Rock Band and Brodie would jump up and down and squeal and make all sorts of noises! He loved watching all of them play the drums and guitars.

Also, Brodie had a great time playing with Beamer, Tuyen & Scott's Jack Russell. I brought a lot of Brodie's toys with us and two of the toys were a couple of balls he loves to play with. Beamer's favorite toys are his balls too. While in the playpen, Brodie would hold the balls up to the screen and Beamer would try to get it through the screen! haha It was so funny! Or Brodie would stand up and hold the ball out of the playpen to show Beamer but always bring it close to him. In a way, he was teasing the dog, but the dog wasn't getting mad or anything like that. They were just playing with one another, it was very cute.

Brodie did really well the time we were there. However, close to the end when he was getting tired he was getting pretty cranky. Needless to say, we were home before 10 and once we got home, Brodie was already out. :)

Here's a picture our friend Meg took of Brodie (I wasn't taking pictures because I was too busy playing with Brodie and talking with friends, whoops! haha)

Also, yesterday I noticed Brodie biting weird on his teeth. I figured a couple days ago he was teething because he was biting down weird. When I opened his mouth and put my finger in there, there it was... Brodie's 7th tooth! It's came through! It's on the right side of his two lower teeth. I also think that the 8th tooth is coming through on the other side of this two lower teeth but I couldn't really get a good look at it. He might have all eight of his baby teeth by the time he's one! Oh, and he loves Cheerio's. :)
