Baby girl update

I know, I know, I still need to upload some pictures. I will when I'm able to. Our computer at home is out of commission at the moment and I haven't brought my camera and the usb to work to do it--sorry!!

Anyway, our last doctor appointment for Naomi was June 22nd. Everything is checking out and looking good. We're not measuring real big, just like a week ahead which is normal. Her heart beat is great.

The only thing to kind of put focus on is I have sciatica. So that means I have to really take it easy and not over do myself. They didn't put me on bed rest, yet, but they gave me a prescription to some lidocaine patches to wear on my back/hip. Honestly, those patches don't do anything. Even wearing two at a time. Tylenol doesn't help with the pain. Sometimes a warm bath helps, but then its getting out of the tub that starts it back up again.

So I'm still not carrying Brodie, not taking him upstairs/downstairs, if I go upstairs I'm there for good. I just can't go up and down the stairs all the time. A couple of my co-workers said that they went to chiropractors to adjust their hips, etc when they had the pain and said it helped a lot. Our next doctor appointment is July 6th so I'm going to talk to them to see if they have any recommendations. Their main concern is getting her to term safely, that's our goal too!!

Other than my pain, baby girl is doing really awesome. "Like a book" they said, just like with Brodie's pregnancy. :) We still haven't done the 3D sonograms like we did with Brodie so you can see the face and get the video, because we just don't have the extra money. With it getting down to the wire now, I doubt we will do it because I think she may be too big to be able to get a good picture. We'll see.

We finally got Naomi's coming home outfit! A pink KU outfit with little pink KU booties! Brodie came home in a blue KU outfit and blue KU booties, so it was only fitting to dress Naomi into something similar.

If you want to get us something for her you're more than welcome. We do have a couple registries-Target, Wal-Mart, and Babies R Us. We mostly need diapers/wipes and baby girl clothes. In the clothes, we need just a few summery outfits, but mostly fall/winter outfits-sizes 3-6 months, 6-9 months.

Here are links to our registries:

Everything is going pretty well during this pregnancy. I'm just really looking forward to August! I am ready to not be pregnant anymore and to have our family complete with Naomi in our arms. Just about 7 more weeks left!!! We're getting REALLY excited. It's almost unbelievable that we'll have have a son AND a daughter! :)

Father's Day 2010

Sunday was Ben's second Father's Day and also marked Brodie's 14 month birthday :)

Sunday we did whatever Daddy wanted to do. We relaxed at home, Dad and Brodie made lunch, we went to Wal-Mart to run some errands, and then Dad made dinner :)

The boys had a lot of fun together. Sundays are usually the only time Ben gets to spend all day with Brodie, so they really enjoyed it. :)

For Daddy's gift, I made an 8x10 photo collage of our family pictures we took over Memorial weekend. I tried to use all the pictures of Ben & Brodie and some of just the three of us. Ben really liked it! Now, I just have to find a frame so we can hang it up :)

We were going to go to the park because Ben still hasn't had a chance to take Brodie to the park yet. But it was just so hot out, so we decided on another time when it wasn't as hot.

Father's Day was very nice and relaxing. I know Ben had a great day, celebrating himself and his accomplishments of being a wonderful father! He truly is amazing. I really chose the best when I chose him :)

Brodie is now 14 months old! It's crazy how fast he's grown and changed. He's SO mobile!! Always just running around. He doesn't really have too many tumbles like he did, sometimes but not real bad. He's learned to blow kisses :) And give closed mouth kisses! hahahaha When he would give us kisses, he'd always have his mouth open-I think all babies are like that at first. But now, they're closed mouth and he goes "mmm-aaah!" The kissy noise, I taught him that :)

His new favorite toys are Daddy's Wii-motes and his PSP. He'll carry them around, sometimes play with them like they're phones or cars. He's also learned to throw them. haha

While we were at Wal-Mart Sunday, we got Brodie's gift to his baby sister. It's a little teddy bear that has "My first Teddy" written on its chest. It's super soft too! We thought that'd be a cute little gift from big brother to baby sister :) We still need to get Naomi's gift to her big brother and their big brother/baby sister shirts! :)

Not quite sure what else "new" Brodie is doing/up to. Oh he's saying "nighty-night" now when he's going to bed. It's so cute, Ben will take him half way up the stairs so they can still see me & vice-versa, and Ben will go "say nighty-night to mommy" and he'll go "night-night" :) It's so sweet :)

On Friday (6/18), we were having a food day at work. It was a "good-bye" type food day for those who have/were getting laid off. I went and picked up Brodie and brought him back. He had SO much fun!! Everyone loved seeing him and watching him just run around. They kept trying to give him snacks too haha. It was a lot of fun. A couple of my co-workers, Grace & Keiko, helped watch him and chase him around while I ate some lunch. When I took him back to daycare, he was SO tired!! The girls here wore him out! haha :)

Saturday morning we went garage saling. We would pull up to the garage sales and Ben would get out to check them out first. If anything good he'd come back and get Brodie and we'd go up. It nothing good, he'd come back and we'd go to another. We found some baby girl clothes, not a lot but a few. We also found a cast iron skillet, one with grooves on it. Brodie found an Austin Powers doll haha He wouldn't put it down so we had to get it :) I found some frames too. By the time we were done, I was getting sick from the heat so home we went! We'll have to go earlier next time :)

It was a very nice weekend, I have pictures that I'll post later on. They're still on the camera. Haven't had a chance to upload them onto the computer yet. Sorry! I'll try to do it this week though-it's not so easy for me to go up and down the stairs a lot. Usually when I go upstairs I stay upstairs, which is usually around bed time. But I'll try to post some pics this week!

More teeth!

Brodie has two more teeth coming through, so that brings the count up to 11! Last night we were sitting on the couch and he was biting on his fingers. He allowed me, usually he hates it, to put my finger in his mouth and check out what was going on in there. Low and behold, two teeth coming in on the bottom. Not in the front, but on the sides of his bottom jaw, kinda towards the back.

I immediately called Ben to tell him, and he goes "well, that explains why he's been a little fussier than usual." I told Brodie's sitter this morning and she said the same thing! haha :)

Onto the last stretch!

28 weeks today, first week of the third trimester! We're almost there!! About 11 more weeks! :D

Things are... ok. Hanging in there. Definitely ready for August to be here and this little girl to be born. :)

Tonight Ben and I are going to a concert, it was a gift to us for our three year wedding anniversary. I'm pretty excited, but also nervous about how my body will be. It's almost a chore just getting out of bed in the morning, so we'll see. There are no chairs allowed, however, there should be plenty of places to pop-a-squat (if we get there early enough).

Our next OB appointment is June 22nd, and then our appointments will be every two weeks until about the 36th week, then it'll go to every week.

Really hoping the summer goes by fast! I just want August to be here already haha :)

Family Portraits

Over Memorial Weekend we finally got Brodie's 1 year/Family pictures done! We went Saturday to the museum in Ellsworth. We got over 20 good shots! I sent all the pictures to Nana Rita's email and to my Uncle Kevin's email. I have also posted all of them on Facebook. Auntie's Tisha & Ashley took the pictures.

They all turned out SO perfect! I love them SOOO much!! I can't stop staring at them!

Here are just a few of them.

Pictures from Brodie's first pool experience!

Aunties Tisha and Ashley stayed in a hotel in Salina over the weekend (they're from Denver) and they were so excited to take Brodie swimming! They bought him a circular floaty that he can sit and float around in. He had the time of his life!! It was an indoor pool by the way. :)

Memorial Weekend 2010

Over Memorial Weekend the three of us, well four counting Vida, visited family in Salina and Ellsworth! It was so much fun! Brodie got to visit his Great-Grandma Miller's grave and his Great-Great-Aunt Helen's grave. He also went swimming for the first time, which he LOVED! :) Auntie Eden and Nana also went on a walk with Brodie and took him to the park.

It was very nice seeing all the family and hanging out with them. :)

Here are a few pictures from our trip
