Easter 2010

Hope everyone had a lovely Easter! We sure did! Brodie had fun playing with his new toys and hanging out with his God-Parents. :)

In the morning before I got Brodie ready for the day, I laid out a candy path leading to his Easter basket. It was something that Ben's mom did for them and I want to continue that tradition. However, I have to lay them out and then quickly take him on the path and pick up the candies-so the dog doesn't eat any and the cat's don't play with them hiding them somewhere.

Tuyen & Scott Cortus came over for our Easter lunch. We had smoked brisket and smoked spiral ham, deviled eggs, salad, mashed potatoes, fruit salad, rolls, and they brought dessert. It was such a nice day out too!

After lunch, Tuyen & I went to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things. When we got back the boys were playing video games (go figure!).

It was a really great day! We ate great food, had great company, beautiful weather.

Hanging out with Dad at his shop

A couple weeks ago I was able to get off work early on a Friday. So I picked up Brodie from daycare and we went to surprise Dad at his shop. It was a really nice surprise for him, since he doesn't get to see Brodie as often as I do (I take Brodie to daycare in the mornings and pick him up, and by the time Ben gets home, Brodie's usually down for the night).

It was fun! Brodie had a great time I think, and Dad brought Vida with him. She's his new shop dog :)

Day at the park

On Wednesday (3/31/10), it was SO beautiful out. Brodie and I went to this park over by our place for the first time. There's a pond with ducks and geese, and people were fishing! There's a path around the pond for walking and there's also a little playground.

We were at the park for like a couple hours. It was just so nice, I didn't want to leave to take Brodie in the house when we could be outside enjoying the weather and relaxing.

Dad wasn't able to come with us because he was still at work. But I kept him updated with pictures and what we were doing and how Brodie was doing.

One of the times we went and sat down, a couple of ducks (male & female) got up close to us! I think they were thinking we were going to feed them because I was pulling snacks out for Brodie. But they kept creeping up to us. Then they walked to the left of us, the female went behind us to a tree, and the male came back in front of us. He sat down and made a little bed. It was so cute! Brodie liked watching them. There were signs all over saying not to feed the birds, so we didn't, but we did see a few people doing it.

After sitting down and walking another lap, we went over to the baby swings. It was Brodie's first time on the baby swings. He LOVED it! Every time I would push him, he'd just squeal with delight and excitement! It was so funny, but he loved it so much! Then a little girl came and her dad was swinging her in the swing next to us. Brodie just kept staring at her and smiling. She would jabber a little, then Brodie would jabber. It was so cute!

Here are a few pictures I took while we were at the park

Real post

Well, I take it no one read the last post because we didn't get any calls. :) It was just an April Fool's joke, just get prank you all! There's only one baby in there, not two.

We really did have an appointment yesterday morning and everything's great. We got to see our little girl just hanging out. She was crossing her legs and then she had one hand up by her head. She was laying diagonal in there.

We did get another sonogram... Which I need to scan and post along with the other two sonograms. I'm slacking on it... Sorry!! :)

Surprise, surprise...

We had another OB appointment today for our baby girl. I told the Dr that I had been having a lot more ligament pain in the front and back and that I felt like my belly seems to be too big for where we're at in the pregnancy.

Well, the Dr did an ultrasound and low and behold...

...Twins!

Yes, twins. The second baby was hiding behind our baby girl, that's why it didn't show up in the beginning. We weren't able to get a peek at the sex of the baby, he/she is very shy. :)

It's going to be one heck of an adventure, that's for sure! :) But, this also explains a lot; why my belly is just out there and why it hurts every time I walk/roll over in bed.
