Trying out the sippy cup

I read online that it doesn't hurt to introduce your six month old to a sippy cup, so they kind of have a feel for it when it's time to really use it. Brodie's teething, and we also thought that he could bite on it to relieve some of the teething pain.

Once Brodie grabbed that sippy cup, it was all over! He'd shove that thing in his mouth and just start chomping down! haha He loved it! I think he really liked being able to hold onto it. He can't really hold onto his bottles by himself yet, but I think its because they're big and long. These cups are short and fat with handles, so they're easier to hold-in my opinion.

We did start first with a little water in it, but he would get that all over himself. So we dumped the water out and just gave him the cup. :)

Brodie has a tooth coming in!!!

Last night while we were out to eat, I had put my finger in Brodie's mouth because earlier in the week I felt two bumps on his lower gums. When I felt last night, to my amazement, he has his first tooth pocking through! I was SO excited!!

Just the very top of the tooth is coming through the gums. You can definitely feel it, and if you look closely you can see it. I'm sure by the time we're in Salina & Ellsworth for Thanksgiving, it'll be pocking through more, and hopefully another tooth will be coming through :)
