We had our OB dr appt today. Had to do that glucose test, where I have to drink this sugar drink in like five minutes and then at the office they draw my blood. I'll probably get those results tomorrow or next week sometime. It's to determine if I have pregnancy diabetes. I didn't with Brodie, so I doubt I will this go around.
The dr came in, measured the belly, listened to her heartbeat. Everything's great. He did say I am measuring a bit bigger, but it was nothing to be concerned about. He said it's because my muscles are so tight like they were, which makes sense. We did tell him that I've been having some pains in my left hip, even with wearing my support belt. He said that since I'm pregnant there's just not much I can do about it. I can take Tylenol, Ben can massage my back, things like that. I figured he'd say something like that, just the typical pregnancy pains that come with it all. :)
All in all, everything's great. No issues, she's healthy, I'm healthy. Only about 12 more weeks left! I'll be 27 weeks tomorrow, so really 13 weeks until 40 weeks but we're not going to wait that long. That's why I'm counting down to 39 weeks instead. :) If she's stubborn like her brother, we'll give her a little push to come into this world :) hehe

13 months and other updates :)
Brodie is 13 months old today! One whole month as a one year old toddler, not so much a baby anymore!
Brodie is getting into a lot more things now, since he's doing nothing but walking now! He walks all over! He's also climbing up the stairs by himself and is so good at it! If we're not careful, he can be halfway up the stairs before we even get to the stairs to follow him! Well, before I get to the stairs haha, I am a bit slower nowadays. :)
He's been off the formula for awhile and drinking straight up milk and he LOVES it! A couple weekends ago we went to hang out with Tuyen & Scott at their house. We forgot our whole milk and all they had was skim milk. He even likes that! haha
New words that he's saying (actually I'm not quite sure which words I've already blogged about so I'll just list everything): no, yea, hi, bye, dada, mama, dog, go, gabba gabba, mom, huh, uh oh, la la la (singing), na na na na (we're not quite sure if he's trying to say Naomi, or what)... I can't quite think of any other words he says off the top of my head, so there might be more. :)
He has nine teeth now, possibly 10. We think that one of his molars are already coming in, but can't quite tell. He doesn't really like it when we try to finger his mouth looking for teeth. :)
Some of his favorite foods: strawberries, goldfish, beef/chicken/BBQ, beans, cheese, rice/fried rice, grilled cheese sandwiches (loves them!), chex cereal or any cereal (we share a bowl of cereal in the mornings before we leave)...
He is so full of energy all the time. Just a squirmy little guy! haha He does have his days where he's a little crabby-pants, but he gets over it rather quickly. He doesn't get crabby a lot, but he has his moments.
He loves to run up to you and give you hugs. Those are the best! He thinks the pets are hilarious, but he always has :)
He's doing great. When he had his one year check up last month, the doctor said that he was developing advanced for his age! He hadn't gained much weight but his height, wow! I'm sure he's grown a little bit since. He's right on target though with everything. Our little boy, our toddler... He'll be my baby boy always though :)
Other updates...
We have about 13 weeks left until we get to finally meet Naomi! We are SO excited for her to be here in our arms rather than in my belly :) She is kicking me always. Definitely in the mornings and evenings. Last night we were sitting on the couch and she started kicking. I grabbed Ben's hand and put it where mine was to feel her. As his hand is on the right side of my belly, she starts kicking down below. So I move his hand there, she stops and starts kicking me up top on the right side again! She did not want daddy to feel her haha :)
I feel like I'm just a little bigger at this point than I was with Brodie. But, at our last check up we were measuring right on target with the week. I think she'll be about the same size as Brodie, an 8lb-er. :) Our next appointment is next Thursday. I'm going to ask them again if I seem to be measuring bigger/average.
Oh, I also had to get a maternity support belt last weekend. I need it because I just have so much pain in my lower back, hips, and front. It has really helped a lot! There's not so much pressure in the front and on my lower back. I still have hip pain, but I'm sure that's from my hips expanding.
We will be visiting everyone in Salina and Ellsworth next weekend! We're pretty excited about that! It'll be nice to see everyone, and for everyone to see Brodie :) Which I'm sure everyone's most excited about!! :)
