Naomi finally had her 6 month well baby visit. She's doing great, of course. Growing like a weed too!
Poor baby got 4 shots and the liquid medicine. One of those shots was the first round of flu shots. This morning she was feeling a little warm so we had to give her baby Tylenol. :( But I haven't heard from Wanda this afternoon so I am guessing she's ok!
Baby girl weighs in at 17 lbs 2oz and is in the 75th percentile for weight.
She is 27" long and is in the 90th percentile for height.
Her head circumference is 16 3/4" and is in the 60th percentile.
Good stats for her! :)
The doctor asked how she's doing with sleeping through the night and Ben told him that she still wakes up one or two times a night to feed. The doctor said we need to practice just letting her cry it out because she's now used to waking up getting fed and then going back to sleep instead of putting herself back to sleep.
We tried that last night, didn't go too well. Still fed her to put her back to sleep. I think it was because of her shots though--at least that's what I'm telling myself ;)
She's doing very good though! Not crawling and no teeth, yet! But so close on both!! :)
I'm already thinking of ideas for her first birthday party too! haha, Haven't made a final decision, but it will be girly ;) hehe

Two months shy of TWO YEARS OLD!!!
This past weekend Brodie turned 22 months, so close to being two years old! These past couple of years have gone by SOOOO fast! I wish there was a way to stop both babies from growing! hah :)
Auntie Eden & Cousin Shelby came to visit and Eden gave Brodie an overdue hair cut! I wanted it to be shorter, but I got voted against. I had to take a stand at getting his bangs cut though--the boy needs to see! The bangs were getting so long they were almost past his eyes! He wasn't too thrilled about getting a haircut either. Eden had to take a break so she could trim Ben's hair to show Brodie that it was ok to get a haircut. (I also got an overdue trim)
On Sunday Eden and I went outside to play with Brodie. Let him run around and blow off some steam. He loved running around the parking lot (it was safe--no cars were leaving/coming in). He did fall twice though. The first time wasn't so bad, he caught himself. The second time though he scratched his chin--not too bad. I tried to be Dr. Mommy by putting some neosporin on it and a band-aid. He ripped the band-aid off as soon as I put it on.
Brodie has also become quite the chatterbox lately! He's doing so good at learning things. Last night we taught him his right foot and left foot! He doesn't know right and left hands yet though, but he will eventually ;) He's really trying to communicate too, saying sentences, etc. It's pretty amazing what he knows. This weekend he also started making these funny faces, like he frowns with his eyebrows and just gives this kinda mad face. But he's not mad at all. haha, Just a face he gives. It's too funny.
We still have not introduced potty training to him. Though he'll come in the bathroom with us when we go. We're going to get him a little potty for his birthday and show it to him to see if he has any interest. We won't force him, but we would like to still introduce the idea of potty training & his own potty chair to him. We'll see how that goes, he's a pretty stubborn little boy ;)
He's doing great though. Growing fast, too fast. Learning something new everyday. I'm already planning his birthday party too--superhero theme! :) It'll be a lot of fun! Maybe this year I'll remember to hand out the party favors unlike I did last year... haha! :)

Our love day
(Hope you all had a chance to look at the pictures. I think I've narrowed it down to a few I like best. We're not ordering all of them right now, but some and then get the rest at a later time.)
Our Valentine's Day consisted of lots of love. The photographer got the kids' pictures done and up on her gallery, which was super fast! I LOVED looking at my babies all day yesterday. :)
The kids had a lovely day at daycare. They got a sweet treat while there and brought home some Valentine's. :)
Ben worked late so the kids and I stayed home and watched TV and just loved up on one another :) We played and ate candy.
When Ben got home I made dinner--pasta with homemade red sauce, meatballs, and garlic bread. It was very delicious :)We also opened our Valentine's day cards. The kids got cards from their Auntie Eden too! :) They loved them by the way.
I also dressed the kids in kinda matching outfits yesterday... Bro wore a "Mommy" shirt and Nomi wore a "Daddy" shirt. :)

Kids' photo gallery
So yesterday we went to have pictures taken of the kids in a in-home studio. Carrie Evans was the photographer, she also took the pictures of Aunt Rita's family over Christmas and some recent ones of just her and Uncle Dave.
She was a fantastic photographer and SO patient with Brodie. Naomi was so sweet and didn't need much direction, but Brodie. He'd kinda cooperate for awhile and then lose course in what he was doing. We had to bribe him a couple times with a sucker and bubbles. :)

6 months, half way there...
Holy cow where did the time go?! Our sweet little Nomi is six months old!! It is so crazy that she's half a year old already, wow!
Still no teeth. But I think they're trying to come out. Lots and lots and LOTS of slobber.
We're eating baby food at dinner time, well she is not the rest of us ;) Brodie sits at the table on his booster seat and she sits in the high chair. So far she likes green beans and applesauce and some chicken type baby foods.
Still not crawling on all fours, lots of scooting and backwards scooting. Either way she's very mobile!!
Lots of jabbering, especially in the mornings when we're changing her/getting her dressed.
Two things she loves to stare and smile at--Brodie and the dog. LOVES the dog. She could sit there and watch her forever. It's cute how excited she'll get when she sees the dog. :)
She rolls all around everywhere. You think she'll just kinda play around in one area, nope, she's off over somewhere else in the blink of an eye! :)
She's not sitting up on her own, but we try to get her to sit up. She'll lean over eventually, but for a few seconds she's up with no support!
She's not quite sleeping through the night yet either. Sometimes she has really good nights where she gets up one time and goes back to sleep past 7am. Some days, not so good--getting up a couple times a night and is up before my alarm goes off :( I just keep telling myself, "it won't be like this forever..." haha
She's growing like a freaking weed!! She's in 6-9 months and some 6-12 months. She's fitting pretty well in some 9 months outfits too. She's pretty tall for her age, I think at least.
We have given her a pacifier, but anymore now she just likes to hold it, play with it, and chew on it. Not really suck on it like a regular paci. That's fine, it'll be easier to take it away from her. :)
She's our little princess and she's the sweetest & cutest little girl ever. She's growing up so fast!
This weekend, Sunday actually, we're going to have the kids' pictures taken! Professionally too! I cannot wait! Don't worry, when we get them back I'll post them on here! :)
Hope everyone is staying warm!! We're trying to, definitely dreaming of the beaches. :)

Our sweeties :)
Brodie has/had pink eye and an ear infection. He's on antibiotics though, so all is well. The pink eye wasn't even THAT bad, but it was still not good. So today, the kids are staying home with Dad. :)
